SWIMSKIN AKA SPEEDSUIT
The swimskin is a relatively new piece of equipment in triathlon. It is a smaller, thinner and non-buoyant replacement for a wetsuit that is worn over a race kit when the water is too warm for a wetsuit.

It is a tight fitting (tighter than your normal race-kit) that trying to squeezes your body to smaller size. You probably need a friend to help you get into the swimskin (Getting out is easier). It enhances speed through the water despite lacking buoyancy by compressing the body and creating minimal friction with the passing water. The fabric is treated with hydrophobic coating which repells water from being absorped into the frabric. Thus lighter and reduce friction in the water.

HOW MUCH FASTER DOES A SWIMSKIN MAKE YOU?
According to some of the test by PRO and amateur athletes, normally find that a swimskin gives them 2 to 6 seconds per 100 meters. Strong swimmers will be closer to the 2 seconds/100m, and developing swimmers will be closer to 6 seconds/100m or more.
